Aquatabs Emergency Water Purification Tablet Travel Pack – 8.5mg Strength
Aquatabs 8.5mg Tablet Travel Packs provide a simple, reliable and portable solution for producing safe drinking water. Ideal for travel, backpacking, camping, emergency preparedness and outdoor activities, these tablets have been used by miliary, peacekeeping, humanitarian and emergency response organisations worldwide.
- Each tablet contains 8.5mg Troclosene sodium (NaDCC)
- Treats 1-2 litres of water (1 tablet in 1 litre gives 5ppm available chlorine)
- Effectively kills micro-organisms in water to prevent water borne diseases, including cholera, typhoid and dysentery
- Compact packaging for convenient carrying and storage

Dosage*
- Low-Risk Areas (e.g. Europe): 1 tablet per 1-2 litres
- Medium-Risk Areas (e.g. Asia): 1 tablet per 0.5-1 litres or double the tablet dose
- High-Risk Areas (where Bilharzia or Giardia may be present**): Advisable to use a stronger tablet (33mg and above)
For General Water Purification:
- With dry hands, tear the strip to reveal 1 tablet
- Drop the tablet into the water and allow to dissolve
- **If the water is visibly contaminated or bilharzia or giardia is known to be present, strain the contamination through a suitable filter before dosing
- Once dissolved gently agitate the water to ensure even distribution
- Cover the container and leave for 30 minutes before drinking the treated water

- Always test for residual chlorine after treatment
- Keep unopened strips away from moisture and direct sunlight
- Keep out of reach from children
